LE BAS is a design studio based in Buenos Aires, established in 2012. We specialize in creating timeless portable objects, bags, and wallets made from top-quality Argentine leather. Our team of skilled craftsmen is passionate about this traditional trade, meticulously handcrafting each item to ensure the highest level of quality.

To complement our designs, we use bronze fittings delicately crafted by a local artisan with years of experience. At LE BAS, we value the importance of a slow and deliberate process. We believe in simplicity and functionality, and design each object consciously and respectfully.

Our aim is to create products that stand the test of time, and to inspire others through the elemental beauty of materials and the rich heritage of Argentine leather. We exclusively use vegetable tanning, one of the oldest and most sustainable methods of leather processing. This process involves using natural tannins extracted from tree barks, resulting in a leather that is both durable and environmentally friendly.
