The Club de minéralogie de Québec (CMQ) is dedicated to promoting earth sciences, particularly mineralogy and paleontology, since 1995. During the summer season, CMQ organizes field trips and excavations in mines, quarries, and other geological sites of interest in the greater Quebec region, occasionally even outside the province. In the winter season, renowned speakers share their knowledge with members through conferences held at the Maison Communautaire Henri-Bergeron.

The club hosts an annual auction in the fall and a mineral exchange exhibition in the spring. CMQ also publishes capsules on various topics and offers members the opportunity to borrow mineralogy, geology, and paleontology magazines, videos, CDs, and books through their media library. Specialized equipment is also available to members free of charge
