Lake Eola Charter School (LECS) is a tuition-free K-8 public charter school that has been serving the community since its approval in 1998. One of the key advantages of LECS is its prime location, which provides students with access to resources such as the public library, where they can check out books and engage in research. Additionally, they have the privilege of attending Bach Lunch Recitals at St. Luke’s Cathedral and participating in cultural events at the Dr.

Phillips Performing Arts Center and City Hall. With a curriculum designed based on national standards and a focus on developing critical thinking skills, LECS stands out for its innovative teaching methods. By using primary source materials, websites, and practical exercises, the staff ensures that each student receives a tailored education that meets their individual needs.

The school also employs a cluster system for student placement in grades 4-8, which research has shown to benefit student success.
