## Description

Lectura Social is a community-supported online space for people who read in Spanish around the world. Built on BookWyrm, it offers a place to discover books, share reading updates, and exchange reviews and comments in a decentralized, friendly environment. The community describes itself as anti-corporate and aims to make reading and sharing possible without contributing to a company’s data-extraction business model.

Spanish is the main focus, and readers are also welcome to share references in Galician, Catalan, Basque, Asturian, Aragonese, and Aranese, languages the moderators can support. Books in other languages are not excluded, though reviews and comments in the named languages are encouraged. The site features recent book listings and community status updates, alongside guidance for joining.

Lectura Social is funded through member contributions, with three monthly support levels and discounted annual subscriptions available through Ko-fi. Contributions help cover server and technical maintenance costs and support BookWyrm’s development. The site also provides community guidelines, privacy information, documentation, and a way to contact its administrators.
