## Description

Lee B. Riley is a sculptor whose artistic practice grew from a career as an oncologic surgeon. Drawing on conversations with patients and lessons from their experiences, Riley creates work that reflects on life as a gift, the importance of focusing on what matters, and the value of giving back. The sculptures combine vibrant glass and steel, often incorporating minerals, to express these ideas through material, color, and form.

Riley’s work ranges across several formats and materials, including bronze and glass, glass and minerals, and wall art. The artist’s website presents images of works from across the practice, along with recent pieces and updates on works in progress, which are typically shared as they develop through the blog. Visitors can also find information about events, videos, and the artist’s background, and get in touch through the contact section. Works are available to view and purchase at Globe Fine Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Riley’s art connects a medical background with a reflective, expressive approach to sculpture.
