## Description

Leeways Marine is the professional practice of Eelco Leemans, an Amsterdam-based marine biologist focused on sustainable development and the protection of the ocean environment. Recognizing that water covers most of the Earth and that oceans are a source of life, the practice works toward cleaner, more responsible marine solutions. Leemans brings decades of ocean experience, combining work as a professional mariner, researcher, and campaigner. Leeways Marine invites organizations and other interested parties to discuss options in areas including the development of clean shipping, stakeholder-process management, and research into plastic marine litter. Its work also includes Winds4Change, a collaboration with Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and Erasmus University. The project focuses on wind propulsion in the Netherlands and has been featured in the Dutch newspaper Trouw. Through its marine expertise and project work, Leeways Marine connects research, practical maritime experience, and campaigning to support cleaner shipping and the broader protection of marine environments.
