## Description

Legacy of Texas is the bookstore and online shop of the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA), the state’s oldest learned society. Its mission is to connect people with Texas history through carefully selected products and original publishing, with proceeds supporting history education and research. TSHA Press has published Texas history books since 1918, producing five original titles each year that are researched and vetted by its historians. The catalog includes biographies, historical studies, and reference works such as the Texas Almanac, legally recognized as the State Book of Texas. Shoppers can also browse the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, journals, maps, and authenticated or signed Texas art. Gifts and goods include Texas-themed apparel, candles, soaps, drinkware, and locally inspired items. The store offers digital and print editions, limited signed products, sales, and member savings. Purchases help fund programs including Texas History Day, the Handbook of Texas, the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, and free classroom resources for educators statewide.
