## Description

Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) is an independent, women-led non-profit organisation of human rights lawyers and jurists working in fragile and conflict-affected areas. Registered in Switzerland, LAW advances the rule of law, access to justice, gender equality and transformative justice, with a focus on securing justice for victims and accountability for perpetrators.

LAW represents survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in individual cases and challenges the laws, procedures and attitudes that enable abuse. It works alongside child victims and survivors to strengthen child-centred justice systems and pursue accountability for crimes committed during conflict and mass atrocities. The organisation also brings cases before domestic, regional and international courts, supports national authorities investigating and prosecuting serious crimes, and advocates for independent investigations. Its work includes promoting meaningful participation by women, young people, minorities and survivor communities, as well as addressing attacks on aid workers and impunity for those responsible.

Through legal aid and empowerment, strategic litigation, advocacy and technical assistance, LAW works across regions including Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
