## Description

Legit Torrents has been providing free and legal torrents since its inception in 2005. The brand offers a wide range of media, including music, movies, games, and software. Founded by a high school student, Legit Torrents was initially hosted under the URL virtenu.dyndns.org/lt before it gained traction and upgraded to a .info domain. The site was run from a bedroom in the founder’s parents' house before transitioning to a VPS. Legit Torrents was a learning experience, touching on web development, marketing, server administration, and search engine optimization (SEO). The site also generated income through Google Adsense before it was banned. Despite its closure, the founder looks back fondly on Legit Torrents, considering it a meaningful part of his life. Moving forward, the brand might shift focus to software reviews, but its impact on the internet and its users remains a cherished memory for the founder.
