LEJO, an independent youth organization based in Ghent, Belgium, is dedicated to empowering young people through experiential learning. With a focus on the age group of 12 to 19, LEJO engages youth in various fields such as leisure time and education & training. At LEJO, we believe that providing a safe and supportive environment is crucial for young people to explore their potential.

We prioritize building trust bonds and offering coaching to create a positive growth trajectory for each individual. We also emphasize giving young people a sense of ownership and equal voice in decision-making processes, fostering their involvement and commitment. Our approach is designed to maximize learning opportunities and resilience.

Through meaningful experiences, reflection, and pushing limits, we help young people become self-aware, resilient individuals who are equipped to navigate life's challenges. LEJO's services span across four pillars: youth work, education for schools, training for educators and care workers, and support for teenage parents. Additionally, by going international, LEJO offers opportunities for inspiration, language and cultural exchanges, and building international networks.
