## Description

Lenteflora is a volunteer-organised, non-commercial flower exhibition held annually in Lisse, the Netherlands. Established in 1933, it describes itself as the country’s oldest flower exhibition and aims to celebrate and promote the region’s bulb-growing culture in an enjoyable, interactive way. The event focuses on spring-flowering bulbs and brings together local residents, growers, schools and visitors.

The exhibition has three main sections: home forcing, open entries and school growing. For the home-forcing programme, participants receive pots planted with the same selection of bulbs, including tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other varieties, and grow them for display. Professional growers contribute the flowers featured in the open-entry section, which forms the foundation of the show. Lenteflora also invites primary schools in Lisse and Lisserbroek to involve pupils in growing bulbs.

The exhibition is free to visit and takes place at Lubbe Lisse. Its programme includes themed displays, participant results and information about the range of bulbs grown.
