## Description

Le P’tit Manège is a family-run children’s carousel in Parc Pasteur, Orléans, offering a poetic ride for young visitors amid the park’s trees, lawns and play areas. Built in 1938 and installed in the park in 1964, the carousel has been part of the Pernin family’s history for generations; Yvonne Daroussin took over in 2019. Children can choose from vehicles such as an airplane, car, fire engine or helicopter, while older riders can enjoy wooden animals, bicycles and other surprises. An inclusive supportive seat is available for children who need extra assistance. The carousel generally operates daily from early February through the Toussaint school holidays, with seasonal hours and weather-related closures; tickets are sold on site and online, and visitors can check current details by text message or on Facebook. Le P’tit Manège also sells Domino-mot, a pocket-sized word game that invites players to combine words and invent humorous definitions. Larger versions are used at local festivals, and the site offers game information and sample materials.
