## Description

Les Explorateurs is a collaborative cultural and educational project connecting artistic practice, learning, and exploration. Its website documents the project’s activities, creative work, and progress, with a focus on Québec and Nantes and contributions from artists and project partners. The initiative combines storytelling and hands-on experimentation: participants investigate a fictional adventure involving Alcide Lachance and Charlotte Sémafore, explore sound recordings, and develop ideas for an ideal city.

Activities featured include sound archaeology, digital workshops, creative sessions, and the production of maps, field journals, and artistic works. The project’s sound investigations involved teams from Arkham sur Loire, Rhizome, the Joujouthèque, and the specialist firm Sémafore & Co; recorded sounds from the Saint-Charles River were also presented. Digital workshops at MLab Creaform included 3D modeling challenges using objects selected from the Musée de la civilisation’s collection, as well as explorations of an ideal city in Minecraft. The site also provides educational sequences, project updates, artist biographies, documents, and poetic texts, offering visitors a detailed record of a multidisciplinary creative process.
