## Description

Letterenhuis is Flanders’ literary archive, based in Antwerp and dedicated to preserving, exploring and sharing the region’s literary heritage. Its collections include archival documents and materials connected to writers, publishers and theatre, offering visitors and researchers ways to discover how literature is created and remembered. The organisation supports research and archival work, and provides educational opportunities alongside public programmes for a broad audience.

Visitors can explore exhibitions and take part in talks, performances, study days and other literary activities. Its welcoming public space invites people to experience, discuss and create literature. Letterenhuis also shares stories from its collections through features and publications, including its Zuurvrij magazine, and offers podcasts that bring writers and literary themes into conversation. Programmes may focus on subjects such as motherhood in literature, the work of particular authors, or the history of theatre companies. With services spanning archives, research, education and public engagement, Letterenhuis connects literary materials from the past with contemporary readers, writers and cultural communities.
