## Description

Leukeather is a biomaterials brand based at Sharjah Research and Technology Park in the UAE. It develops materials from natural pod fibers, using its treatment technology to revive and accentuate the fibers’ patterns and textures. The result is an authentic, emboss-free material alternative to exotic leathers and their faux counterparts, created through a combination of science, craftsmanship, and design.

The brand offers materials in a variety of colors and options, and invites customers to explore and shop its collection. Its approach centers on working with nature while aiming for sustainable and ethical production. Leukeather also describes an impact program built around collecting pods that might otherwise go to waste. The collected pods can contribute to tree-growing efforts: the company states that each pod has the potential to grow 18 trees. Leukeather works with existing farms and workers, providing training and working conditions intended to support its social goals. Its website also shares information about the material, its technology, and the brand’s environmental and social impact.
