## Description

Lewa Safari Marathon is an extraordinary event held annually at the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in northern Kenya, scheduled for June 29, 2024. Organized by Tusk in partnership with the conservancy and Safaricom, this marathon allows participants to experience the breathtaking beauty of the African savannah while supporting vital wildlife conservation efforts. Runners navigate a scenic yet challenging course through diverse landscapes, including acacia woodlands and riverbanks, often sharing the terrain with wildlife, including Africa's legendary Big Five.

Since its inception over 25 years ago, the Lewa Safari Marathon has been instrumental in funding conservation projects throughout Kenya. Each participant contributes significantly to community development and raising awareness about the threats facing wildlife. Renowned marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge, a Lewa ambassador, encourages all to partake in this unique challenge, reinforcing the event's commitment to environmental stewardship. Join the Lewa Safari Marathon to make a tangible difference while enjoying a truly memorable running experience immersed in nature.
