## Description

Lewis and Clark Conservation District is a local organization based in Helena, Montana, dedicated to the wise use and conservation of natural resources. Serving landowners and communities across the county, it provides practical guidance on soil, water, plants, and wildlife, and works with local, county, and state partners to address regional conservation needs. The district is governed by elected, unpaid supervisors and supports planning and public engagement on natural resource issues.

Its programs and resources include pollinator support, with free pollinator seed available to county residents, and permitting guidance for work on perennial streams. The district also offers stream bank restoration information, water quality resources, soil testing and soil health guidance, plant recommendations, and advice on trees, conservation gardens, rain gardens, and xeriscaping.
