## Description

The London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) provides early years education and childcare through more than 40 nurseries across 13 London boroughs. Serving children from birth to five, the organisation focuses on putting children first and creating high-quality learning environments where they can thrive. LEYF reports that all its nurseries are rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

Families can explore nursery locations, book visits and apply for places, with funded hours available for eligible two-, three- and four-year-olds. LEYF is also one of London’s largest providers of funded places for two-year-olds. Its services include support for parents and carers, with family relationships recognised as an important part of children’s development.

Food and nutrition are another focus: nursery chefs trained through the Early Years Chef Academy prepare food with children’s nutritional needs in mind and cater for dietary requirements and allergies. Through Green LEYF, the organisation promotes environmental awareness across its nurseries and communities, with a stated goal of reaching net zero by 2030.
