## Description

The National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging, established in 2010, is the first and only technical assistance resource center dedicated to improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and/or transgender older adults, families, and caregivers in the United States. A program of SAGE, the center provides training, technical assistance, and educational resources to aging providers, LGBTQ+ organizations, and older adults in the LGBTQ+ community. The goal is to ensure that aging and disability networks can offer culturally competent services to LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers. The center's objectives include creating and disseminating information, developing training on LGBTQ+ cultural competence, increasing the capacity of LGBTQ+ older adults to access services, and improving collaboration with other minority aging resource centers. With ongoing support from grants, the National Resource Center on LGBTQ+ Aging continues to be a critical resource for the community.
