## Description

Re:searching for LGBTQ2S+ Health is a team of dedicated researchers who focus on understanding the physical and emotional well-being of LGBTQ2S+ individuals. Based at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto, we examine LGBTQ2S+ lives and experiences throughout the province and beyond. Our team utilizes a multiplicity of research approaches, including community-based research, to gather data that helps us understand the unique challenges and experiences faced by LGBTQ2S+ people. Our goals include exploring how factors such as homophobia, transphobia, racism, and ableism affect LGBTQ2S+ health, identifying barriers and facilitators to accessing healthcare, and using our findings to improve the overall well-being of LGBTQ2S+ communities. We value social justice, anti-oppression, and working in partnership with LGBTQ2S+ organizations, service providers, and community members to ensure our research is inclusive and meaningful. We strive for accountability, ethical research practices, and a holistic understanding of health that encompasses physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Through our work, we aim to empower LGBTQ2S+ individuals to make informed choices about their healthcare.
