LHL is a member-based and non-profit patient organization that works for individuals with heart, vascular, and lung disease, allergies, stroke, aphasia, and their relatives. With nearly 54,000 members, 250 local branches, 10 interest groups, and 11 networks across the country, LHL has been dedicated to improving people's lives since its establishment in 1943. LHL offers a wide range of services and resources to support individuals and their families. Their offerings include counseling services, peer support, information about rights, healthier living tips, heart and stroke education programs, podcasts, and webinars.
