About

Description

LIAG Architecten van Geluk is a full-circle architectural firm with its own construction advisory department. We have a steadfast vision: architecture should create conditions for the happiness of its users. This is our responsibility to society, and it's what we wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves to every day with our team of around 30 employees.

What makes a building successful? Is it when it fits into its surroundings? When it's completed on time and within budget? When it meets all the architectural requirements? All of these are important factors, but for LIAG, a building is only truly successful if it becomes a place where people feel at home, where it fosters connections. A successful building respects its users and challenges them to bring out their best. Founded in 1919 by Dirk Roosenburg, a contemporary of architects like Dudok, Oud, and Rietveld, LIAG shares the same vision today: designing buildings that bring happiness and value to society.

Many of Roosenburg's buildings have since become national monuments, including the former headquarters of Philips and KLM, the Lichttoren in Eindhoven, and the Apollo House in Amsterdam. At LIAG, creating happiness is a collaborative effort. Through workshops, presentations, and consultations, we involve users in the design process.

We also utilize relevant (psychological) research to understand how users perceive social safety, materials, and other aspects. Our buildings always arise from the needs of the users. A building must prove itself.

The durability of materials and techniques, usability, and timeless design need to stand the test of time. LIAG focuses not just on the delivery date but on the period that follows. We pay excessive attention to details because they ensure quality.

Execution is always a crucial part of our work since the period in which a building proves itself is when LIAG proves itself. Each employee and role within LIAG is indispensable. Happy employees are key to developing buildings that prioritize the happiness of the users.

Mutual respect has been at the heart of our company since its inception. From architects to office managers, specifications writers to environmental psychologists, we need everyone equally. And when we lack specific expertise, we seek it out, such as a child psychologist for the development of the Prinses Mรกxima Centrum.

Even temporary employees are true LIAG colleagues. Come and meet our team and discover how we create happiness together. Visit our website for more information, and contact us if you want to explore an architecture story that makes you happy
