## Description

Dino Battaglia (1925-1983) was a prominent figure in the world of comics. He began his career as a draftsman after the war, collaborating with Hugo Pratt in the magazine l'Asso di Picche. He was known for his diverse range of stories and was passionate about literature. He embarked on a series of comic adaptations of literary works, displaying a deep and experimental approach to graphic design. Battaglia was one of the early pioneers in breaking away from the traditional structure of comics and introduced a unique visual language. His distinctive graphic and narrative style became a reference point for many of his peers. His body of work includes adaptations of Melville, Poe, Stevenson, Lovecraft, Maupassant, Hoffman, and Rabelais. Battaglia's legacy continues with the unfinished third episode of the series "Les Enquêtes de l'Inspecteur Coke," which he began with his wife, Laura. The brand BATTAGLIA Dino - Liber Distri - Art books & More offers an extensive collection of art books, comics, and other related products that showcase his work, along with products from other renowned artists and publishers.
