## Description

Libre Exercice is the literary project of an independent writer who describes himself as writing novels without a publisher. Presented as the “laboratory of a literary ghost,” the site brings together essays, fiction, personal reflections, and ongoing writing projects. Its sections include Forme, Maudit, Manifeste, Caractères, and Combat, framing a practice concerned with literary form, authorship, and the pressures shaping contemporary writing. Recent articles examine whether writers can be identified with work created using language models, and how AI-generated books might affect human authors and the wider reading market. The site also features serial writing, including “Carte postale 2026,” a collection of observant, often humorous accounts of family holidays, travel, weather, and everyday encounters. Across its varied posts, Libre Exercice offers readers a candid view of an author’s working process and ideas about literature, alongside narrative pieces grounded in personal experience. It is an independent literary publication rather than a conventional publisher, presenting original writing and commentary directly to its audience.
