## Description

Libro Aperto is an Italian festival and literary award dedicated to books for children and young people. Based in Baronissi, near Salerno, it brings young readers, authors, guests, schools, associations and the wider community together around literature and shared cultural experiences. Its young juries, made up of readers aged 7 to 19, evaluate selected books and choose the award winners.

The festival’s program extends beyond reading and book discussions. Recent editions have included creative and reading workshops, theatre, music, sports, cultural events, and activities focused on recycling and sustainability, with events for both children and adults. The website also provides information about the festival, its guests, competition rules, juries, past editions, partners and news.

Libro Aperto supports access to culture by inviting donations to help purchase books for young readers. Visitors can also download the festival’s app, follow its photo and video galleries, subscribe to its newsletter, or contact the organizers about sponsorship and support. The next edition is scheduled for April 15–18, 2027, in Baronissi.
