## Description

Liège–Paris–Liège is an ultracycling challenge created to honor the heritage of Liège–Bastogne–Liège, the Belgian classic founded in 1892. First held in 2023, the event revives the idea of a race between Liège and Paris that never took place, bringing riders together for a self-supported cycling adventure. Open to participants aged 18 and over, the challenge requires riders to complete a fixed route under their own power, without drafting, support vehicles, or outside assistance. In 2026, the event introduced two formats: LPL Spring, a shorter ride, and LPL Challenge, a longer adventure with two mandatory routes. The 2027 edition focuses on LPL Spring, scheduled for 15–17 May. Registration includes a GPX route, a tracker, a starter pack, a drink at the finish, dinner at the finisher party, and access to event photos. The challenge starts and finishes at Simenon Youth Hostel in Liège, where participants can also arrange accommodation, showers, and secure bag storage. The organizing association is Local Bastard.
