This project, initiated by the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with IFAD and NDDC, addresses the limited resources and opportunities available to rural and sub-urban communities. LIFE-ND actively promotes community-based farming as a viable business, aiming to create both on-farm and off-farm employment opportunities for unemployed and underemployed youths. By facilitating the organization of women into enterprise clusters, the project aims to improve their access to land, inputs, agricultural credit, and markets. One of the key achievements of LIFE-ND is the facilitation of partnerships between farmer producers, the government, and the private sector. These partnerships enable valuable policy dialogues and business transactions. Additionally, the project focuses on the promotion of four key enterprise commodities in each state, harnessing their specific advantages.
