## Description

Leiden International Film Festival (LIFF) is a film festival based in Leiden, the Netherlands. Founded in 2006, it has grown into one of the country’s leading festivals, presenting films from around the world across a wide range of styles, from arthouse cinema to blockbusters. Its 2026 edition runs from 8 to 18 October, offering 11 days of premieres, special screenings, parties and other festival events.

LIFF’s programme includes films, themed programme sections and activities such as a youth jury. The festival also provides practical information for visitors, including details about venues, accessibility and discount passes, helping audiences plan their visits. Beyond screenings, LIFF offers educational opportunities and invites people to take part as volunteers, jury members, partners, friends or donors. Its website serves visitors and professionals with programme information, film submission details, press and industry resources, news and contact options. Audiences can also subscribe to the LIFF newsletter or support the festival through its partnership and donation opportunities.
