Lightbulb Learning is a family-owned childcare provider offering infant care and preschool in Mount Wellington, East Auckland. Its purpose-built centre is located beside Hamlin Hill Regional Park and features airy, naturally lit rooms, covered outdoor decks and large play areas. Spaces are designed with different age groups in mind, with low numbers of children in each room to support quality care and a choice of indoor and outdoor play.

The centre creates an individual learning programme for each child, shaped by their needs, interests, developing dispositions, and family aspirations and values. Programmes are reviewed regularly, while group learning can grow into longer-term projects and excursions. Preschoolers can also take part in a phonics-based literacy programme covering letters, sounds, letter formation and pencil grip, at a pace suited to the children.

Lightbulb Learning prepares fresh, home-cooked meals each day, included in the fees, and can discuss menus for children with special dietary needs. The organisation also operates centres in Tamaki, Mt. Richmond, Sylvia Park, Otahuhu and Panmure.
