## Description

The Lincoln Track Club is a nonprofit community service organization established in 1975 to promote running in the Lincoln area, support educational opportunities for runners, and give back to the community. Its activities bring together runners, athletes, volunteers, and local supporters through races and other running-related events. The club presents events such as The Lincoln Mile and offers race registration opportunities that include the Lincoln Marathon and Half Marathon. Its event calendar also features community traditions such as the Havelock Charity Run/Walk and Spring Forward, which welcomes the start of the running season. Beyond organizing races, the Lincoln Track Club invests in local student athletes: in 2026, it awarded six $2,500 scholarships to high school cross-country and track and field athletes, continuing a program that has run for 13 consecutive years. The organization also shares news, competition rules, frequently asked questions, and information about its Kids’ Grand Prix. Through membership, volunteering, scholarships, and community events, the club encourages participation in running while contributing to the wider community.
