## Description

Associazione Linea Gotica – Officina della Memoria is an Italian nonprofit association founded in 2010 by scholars, researchers, and enthusiasts of the Second World War. It focuses on the history of the Gothic Line, the German defensive front that crossed Tuscany, the Marche, and Emilia-Romagna from summer 1944 to spring 1945. The association works to preserve and share the area’s wartime history through research, historical accounts, and information about significant places and events.

Its website helps visitors explore museums, military cemeteries, memorial parks, battle sites, and other locations connected with the Gothic Line. It also presents themed walking and cycling routes, local itineraries, maps, photographs, videos, and bibliographic resources. A free mobile app supports exploration of the region. For schools, the association offers educational proposals, including a workshop about the experiences of people during the war. Its news and events section features commemorations, local activities, and historical initiatives. Together, these resources connect public history, place-based discovery, and remembrance for visitors, students, and anyone interested in Italy’s wartime past.
