## Description

LINK Research Lab, based at the University of Texas at Arlington, is at the forefront of examining the future of higher education in an increasingly digital world. Established in 2013 by researchers Pete Smith and Laurel Mayo, and later joined by Executive Director George Siemens, LINK is dedicated to advancing understanding of how social networked technologies and learning analytics can transform educational experiences. The lab facilitates collaboration among researchers, educators, and graduate students, engaging in projects that explore innovative learning models tailored for the 21st century. With support from grants, including funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, LINK has developed a robust network of international scholars and has partnered with the University Analytics unit to enhance data-driven decision-making on campus. The lab's mission encompasses ensuring student success through the implementation of complex teaching methodologies and personalized learning solutions, while examining fundamental questions about the evolution of the university's role in our digital age.
