## Description

LINXS is an advanced study institute established in 2017 with a mission to promote science and education using neutrons and X-rays. They bring together world-leading scientists for short-term research visits and create international networks. LINXS offers a platform to explore new ideas, discuss methods, and collaborate with scientists from different disciplines and organizations worldwide. LINXS works based on themes governed by a core group and connected working groups. These themes develop networks, research, and activities in various scientific fields relevant to LINXS' focus areas. A theme is a time-limited collaborative effort over approximately three years, with funding to boost network formation and activities. LINXS focuses on three main areas: Heritage Science, Chemistry of Life, and Environment and Climate. They also have themes in Integrative Pharmacology and Drug Discovery, Northern Lights on Food, New Materials, and Legacy themes in Integrative Structural Biology, Dynamics, and Imaging. LINXS is committed to becoming a world-leading advanced study institute, attracting outstanding researchers and promoting science and education in the use of neutrons and X-rays. They aim to create international networks, enhance Sweden's visibility in neutron and X-ray research, and initiate new ideas and themes in the Science Village. They also have a management group, a board, and a scientific advisory board to oversee their operations and evaluation of themes.
