About

Description

Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges is a remarkable brand offering a collection of boutique accommodations in Southern Africa's most sought-after destinations. With a history spanning over 23 years, Lion Roars is a family-owned and run company founded by the Bailey family. Starting with a passion for conservation and a love for Africa, they began by offering personalized luxury travel to Southern Africa, focusing on Zimbabwe's wildlife.

From there, Lion Roars expanded its portfolio to include stunning properties in South Africa. In Port Elizabeth, the oasis of Singa Lodge awaits guests with its quiet retreat and stylish African and Eastern decor. In Plettenberg Bay, the family's beach home on Robberg Beach transformed into the unique Robberg Beach Lodge, offering a range of accommodations including Cordovan Villa and Beachy Head Villa.

Lion Roars is also committed to conservation and manages a large portion of the breathtaking Amakhala Game Reserve. Within the reserve, guests can enjoy the warm hospitality and luxurious accommodations of Hlosi Game Lodge and Bukela Game Lodge. Expanding further, Lion Roars welcomed The Three Boutique Hotel in Cape Town, a superb accommodation experience in the heart of Gardens.

In 2019, they opened Franschhoek Boutique Hotel in the Cape Winelands, offering bespoke rooms with stunning mountain views. Adding to the excitement of their portfolio, Lion Roars proudly opened the 4-star Kloof Street Hotel in December 2020. Situated on vibrant Kloof Street, this hotel provides panoramic views of Lion's Head, Table Mountain, and Devil's Peak.

Guests can unwind at the tranquil Sanctuary Restaurant and enjoy the rooftop pool-deck with impressive Table Mountain views. The brand also opened the historical Old Bank Hotel in April 2022, combining timeless Victorian details with modern industrial design in Cape Town's vibrant St George's Square. And in 2023, Lion Roars expanded its presence in Plettenberg Bay with the addition of the modern and conveniently located Plett Quarter Hotel.

No matter the destination, Lion Roars ensures a consistently superior experience with comfortable accommodations, attention to detail, and warm, genuine hospitality. With a dedicated and skilled team, they strive to make every guest's holiday exceptional. So whether you're seeking a wildlife adventure, a beachfront retreat, or a city escape, Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges has the perfect property for you
