## Description

Lista Fuglestasjon, located at the tip of the List Peninsula in Farsund, Norway, is a premier destination for bird enthusiasts and researchers alike. Established in 1957, this bird observatory focuses on monitoring migratory birds through net catching and daily counting of both seabirds and passerines. The station offers beginner courses in bird ringing, allowing newcomers to gain essential skills and experience under the guidance of experts from BirdLife Norway.

Each autumn and spring, Lista Fuglestasjon plays a crucial role in observing bird migration patterns, having recorded thousands of birds across numerous species. Their annual Bird Festival celebrates avian life with a variety of activities aimed at families and avid bird watchers, including races and engaging lectures.

In 2024, the station partnered with the University of Oldenburg to track the migration of songbirds using advanced radio transmitters, contributing valuable data to global conservation efforts. With a strong commitment to education and conservation, Lista Fuglestasjon connects the local community with the wonders of birdlife and underscores the importance of maintaining natural habitats.
