Literacy Action Corps, based in Columbia, has been dedicated to providing literacy tutoring for over 54 years. However, the organization has recently made the difficult decision to cease operations on December 10, 2022. Despite their closure, they are ensuring their legacy lives on by generously donating their assets to the City of Refuge.

The City of Refuge, known for its comprehensive services for English language learners, will continue to offer and expand its educational programming. They will gratefully welcome support from the community to further their mission of helping individuals improve their English language skills.
