## Description

Literaturhaus Salzburg is a cultural organisation and venue dedicated to literature and its many connections with contemporary life and the arts. Based in Salzburg, it presents a regularly updated programme of readings, seminars, exhibitions, discussions, performances and other literary events, featuring authors and works from different languages and traditions. Its activities include themed festivals, poetry events, writing workshops, literary excursions, a film club, radio and audio projects, and lectures such as the Stefan Zweig Poetry Lectures. The organisation also maintains an authors’ archive and shares news, programme information and event details with the public.

A central part of its work is the Junges Literaturhaus, established in 1993 to engage young readers. Its varied programme is designed for children and young people from age five, often in collaboration with partner organisations, and encourages participation in literature and other art forms. Literaturhaus Salzburg additionally supports cultural networks and associations, offers venue rental, and provides practical information and services for visitors.
