## Description

Thomas Brooks is a renowned brand that specializes in the creation of lithophanes. In case you're wondering what lithophanes are, they are intricately detailed artworks that create a stunning visual effect when illuminated from behind. Thomas Brooks offers a wide range of lithophanes, along with printing services and a comprehensive printing guide to help you bring your ideas to life. The history of lithophanes dates back to the early 19th century when they were first produced in Europe. The initial process, known as email ombrant, was developed by a Frenchman named Paul de Bourging. Lithophanes were made by carving wax, creating a plaster gypsum mold, and casting porcelain at extreme temperatures. These traditional methods were labor intensive, risky, and expensive. However, with advances in technology, Thomas Brooks has revolutionized the production of lithophanes. Using modern techniques such as CNC machining and 3D printing, they are now able to create exquisite lithophanes from translucent, nonporous materials like plastic or resin. This not only reduces labor and material costs but also allows for the inclusion of a backlight interface, enhancing the visual appeal of the artwork. Join the Thomas Brooks community and explore the world of lithophanes. Follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Thingiverse to stay updated with their latest creations and innovations.
