## Description

Little Loves First Aid Courses provides baby and child first aid education in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. Created for anyone who cares for children, its courses welcome parents-to-be, new and experienced parents, grandparents, relatives, friends and other caregivers. The aim is to help participants build confidence and practical skills for responding to stressful situations involving young children, while offering parents greater peace of mind.

Little Loves offers in-home group courses, where families can invite friends and relatives to learn together and share a consistent approach to caring for a child. Public courses are also available for individuals and groups. The teaching covers preparation for serious emergencies as well as assessing children’s everyday health and wellbeing. The courses were designed by Registered Nurse Faye Edgecombe and paediatric doctor Jessica Mead. Faye’s experience as a nurse and mother, including responding to her own child’s febrile seizure, inspired her commitment to helping people feel better prepared around their “little loves.” Visitors can learn more about the course options and book a session through the website.
