## Description

Live4RJ is a community-focused advocacy initiative dedicated to addiction education, recovery support, and helping families affected by overdose. Its work has included school presentations, crisis response, peer mentoring, grief support, and public awareness events. From 2014 to 2019, its Chester County NOPE program reached more than 20,000 middle and high school students with education about addiction. Live4RJ also helped people find access to treatment regardless of insurance, supported individuals on their recovery journeys through peer mentoring, and offered scholarships to help people entering recovery cover halfway housing expenses.

For parents who have lost a child to overdose, the initiative created the “If Love Were Enough” grief support group. Its past community efforts also included the Miracles Off Main recovery clubhouse in Parkesburg, town hall and community presentations, and overdose awareness vigils. Today, Live4RJ continues to advocate for laws and policies that better support recovery, while building connections and encouraging young people to make positive choices, develop responsibility, and gain skills for success.
