## Description

The Live Comedy Association (LCA) is an organization dedicated to representing and connecting the UK Live Comedy Industry, ensuring its survival and success in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond. As an industry, live comedy has never had formal channels of communication, but the LCA aims to bridge that gap. It will serve as a network, bringing together venues, promoters, festivals, comics, and other stakeholders from across the country, allowing them to share concerns, questions, and information. In the short term, the LCA will coordinate an industry-wide approach to dealing with the Covid-19 crisis and the easing of the UK lockdown. Additionally, the LCA will lobby for more support from national governments and local councils, advocating for access to government funding that is currently unavailable to individuals, companies, and venues in the industry. By raising concerns alongside other affected industries such as music, theatre, leisure, and hospitality, the LCA will work towards ensuring the survival and thriving of live comedy.
