## Description

**Brand Description: Liverpool Astronomical Society (LAS)**

The Liverpool Astronomical Society (LAS) has been a cornerstone of astronomy enthusiasts in the region for over 143 years, fostering a passionate community committed to the exploration of the cosmos. Based at the Leighton Observatory in Cronton, Merseyside, LAS invites members of the public to join in weekly meetings every Wednesday. These gatherings provide opportunities for stargazing, educational talks, and hands-on experiences with astronomy equipment, including the renowned 12-inch Meade telescope.

In addition to regular meetings, LAS offers exclusive access to the observatory for members, providing a unique platform for both novice and experienced astronomers to enhance their stargazing skills. The society also hosts the Young Astronomers’ Club, promoting astronomy education for younger generations. Through newsletters, news feeds, and a wealth of resources, the LAS ensures that all members stay informed about astronomical events and developments. With a focus on community engagement and scientific exploration, the Liverpool Astronomical Society is dedicated to enlightening and inspiring all who look to the stars.
