## Description

Liverpool Irish Festival is an arts and culture organisation that brings Liverpool and Ireland closer together by celebrating the city’s Irish heritage, influence and creativity. Its annual festival takes place across Merseyside in October, presenting around ten days of events alongside year-round heritage activities. The programme features performances, music, theatre, talks and creative projects, with events involving Irish and local artists and cultural partners.

Beyond the festival, Liverpool Irish Festival develops resources and initiatives that explore Irish history and identity. Its Liverpool Irish Famine Trail invites visitors to discover sites connected to the Great Hunger through maps, digital navigation, historical information, a book and related activities. The organisation also highlights women’s stories and multi-racial histories, and supports collaboration through the Cultural Connectedness Exchange Network for Irish and Northern Irish artists, creatives and cultural organisations.

Visitors can browse events, plan visits, read festival news and explore past programmes through the website. The organisation also welcomes donations, volunteers and other forms of support to help celebrate Irish creativity and strengthen cultural connections.
