## Description

Live The Dream is an education and support group for people exploring cooperative living, open relationships, and group marriage. Founded in 1987 by Terry Brussel and Brian Gitt, the organization was inspired by earlier cooperative-living initiatives and by the writings of Robert Heinlein, Robert Rimmer, and Marion Zimmer Bradley. Its work includes sharing information and support for people interested in building multiply committed relationships and creating shared households and families.

Live The Dream offers educational events, including online and in-person gatherings on topics such as polyamorous dating, group marriage, cooperative homes, and raising children together. Some events also feature rituals and celebrations. The organization publishes regular newsletters and maintains an archive of articles, including material on the history and practices of polyamory. It also sponsors a Nest of the Church of All Worlds, a spiritual movement inspired by Heinlein’s Stranger in a Strange Land. Through its membership, events, publications, and resources, Live The Dream serves people seeking practical knowledge and community around alternative relationship and living arrangements.
