## Description

Living With Cancer SA is a South African cancer advocacy organisation built around the belief that every cancer journey should be seen, heard and counted. It operates the country’s first patient-led cancer registry, giving people affected by cancer a platform to record, track and share their experiences. By building a current, relevant database, the organisation aims to support research, inform policy and help improve cancer services and outcomes.

Alongside the registry, Living With Cancer SA provides education, advocacy and compassionate community support. Its WhatsApp groups offer spaces for patients, survivors and cancer warriors, as well as a separate community for family and friends, facilitated by a psychologist specialising in cancer-related trauma and emotional care. The organisation also raises awareness through campaigns such as Your Cancer Counts, which highlights the people behind cancer statistics and encourages registration.
