## Description

Livres dans la Boucle is a literary festival in Besançon, France, bringing readers, writers and local cultural organisations together to celebrate books and the arts. Its 2026 edition is scheduled for September 18–20, with the next event announced for September 17–19, 2027. The festival welcomes more than 170 authors, including established writers, emerging novelists, comic-book and manga creators, illustrators, and regional authors. Visitors can browse book signings at a large bookshop pavilion in Chamars Park and take part in author conversations, readings, performances, workshops and shows. Programming spans general literature, crime fiction, comics, manga, children’s books and recently published regional titles. The festival also connects literature with cinema, music, theatre, visual art and gastronomy through themed events, musical readings, film-related sessions and special tributes. Children and young people have dedicated activities designed to encourage imagination and reading. Events take place across Besançon and the surrounding area, including cultural venues, libraries, a cinema, cafés and Victor Hugo’s birthplace.
