## Description

The London Mathematical Society (LMS) is a UK mathematical society that supports the advancement, promotion and dissemination of mathematical knowledge. It serves a national and international community of mathematicians through membership, professional activities, publications and public engagement. Members can access benefits, networking opportunities, events and information about the Society’s library and collections.

The LMS offers a broad programme of grants and awards, supporting mathematicians at different career stages, research activities, teaching, inclusion initiatives, international collaboration and the hosting of events. Its calendar includes lectures, seminars, research schools, symposia, workshops, public talks and professional development sessions. The Society also engages with decision makers and policy advisers on mathematics and education.

Through its publications programme, the LMS produces internationally read journals and books covering a wide range of mathematics, including the Proceedings, Bulletin and Journal of the London Mathematical Society, as well as lecture notes and student texts. Based at De Morgan House in central London, it also provides conference facilities.
