## Description

L’Observatoire International is a global lighting design firm founded by Hervé Descottes in New York City in 1993. The firm works across architecture, landscape, urban environments, and fine art, using light as a design medium to clarify architectural intentions and transform the experience of spaces. Its practice brings lighting design to a wide range of projects, with an emphasis on how illumination can shape the way people perceive and encounter a place. L’Observatoire International presents its work through a portfolio of projects and shares information about its team, news, and press coverage. The firm’s website lists New York, Paris, Seoul, and London, and provides contact channels for general inquiries, press, and new business, as well as career information and a newsletter sign-up. Through its architectural lighting expertise and work in varied spatial contexts, the firm aims to make light an integral part of the design experience.
