## Description

Local Crew is a nonprofit organization working to create a positive, welcoming community for skateboarders and extreme athletes of all ages. Its mission is to challenge negative perceptions of skateboarding by giving people an encouraging outlet and a place to belong, while supporting the wider local community through outreach and events.

The organization offers skateboarding lessons and sells skate-related products through LC Skate Supply, including Local Crew decks. Its featured X Shape deck has a symmetrical twin-tail design, with identical nose and tail shapes intended to provide consistent pop and flick when skating regular or switch. Local Crew also offers branded merchandise.

Events are central to the organization’s work. LocalFest brings skaters together across multiple stops and states, with skateboarding, cash and product giveaways, and opportunities to connect and celebrate skate culture. Local Crew describes the festival as a way for skaters to support one another, build community, and move the culture forward.
