## Description

LocoShed is a free online platform and community designed by model railway enthusiasts to help collectors and modellers organise their collections. It lets users create private databases for personal or club use, build custom categories, choose which details to record, and manage unlimited items. Although purpose-built for model railway collections, the system can be configured for other types of collections.

Users can attach pictures, videos, documents, diagrams, plans, 3D model files, sound programming files, and technical sheets to collection entries. Tools include purchasing wishlists, maintenance tasks and work plans, custom and pre-supplied reports, and label printing for models and storage boxes. Google Gemini AI integration supports searches for model and prototype information, as well as operating-session planning through Layout Director. Additional features include importing text or spreadsheet lists, managing multiple currencies with automatic exchange-rate updates, and sharing items with clubs or friends. Members can also use the LocoShed community forums for advice and discussion.
